This post is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and able trial coordinator and research programme manager to join a multidisciplinary academic team in Population Health Sciences Bristol Medical School. The post-holder will be based at the University of Bristol (1-5 Whiteladies Road, Clifton). The 5-year Gatsby-funded PRIME-PD trial (Proactive and Integrated Management and Empowerment in Parkinson’s Disease) is led by Dr Emily Henderson and Professor Yoav Ben-Shlomo.

The overall aim of the trial is to develop an innovative model of Parkinson’s care that seeks to address the increasing societal and patient needs that integrates technological developments. There are three workstreams a) healthcare innovation using a single point of access to access a highly skilled multidisciplinary team of expertise b) scientific evaluation: offering an evidence basis for the cost-effectiveness of this approach, using a combination of both large-scale observational research and smaller-scale controlled experiments c) implementation in taking this approach forwards to extend the concept to other health conditions and establish a multi-centre, step wedged randomise control trial.
