Salary: £52,000 to £55,000 per annum, tax free, dependent on experience.

The University College of Bahrain invites applications for a full-time teaching position in the Department of Communication & Media. 

University College of Bahrain is a not-for-profit institution recognised by the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Bahrain as a provider of higher education. UCB is a private “Western-style” university designed to provide an international teaching and learning experience, particularly specializing in Business Administration, Communication, and Information Technology.

The Requirements

• PhD, MFA or MA in Design or Arts discipline from a recognised university.
• Candidates should also show extensive knowledge in one or more of the following subject areas: Typography, Visual Arts, Branding, Interface design, Printmaking, Interactive Design, Animation, 3D modeling, Web design, Film design production.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and experience in an organization, strategic planning and academic administration.
• Experience in University and design programs accreditation processes.
• Excellent skills in verbal and written communication. 

The Responsibilities

• To manage and improve college programs and curriculum while making sure that all accreditation concerning academics are being followed according to internal and external standards.
• To teach core curriculum and elective studios/classes.
• Provide leadership in all matters relating to education.
• Mentor students through an established advising process.
• Lead, manage, monitor and evaluate faculty and programs to ensure contributions to the overall institutional mission and goals.
