An exciting opportunity exists to join the University as the next Pro Vice Chancellor Arts, Education and Law (AEL). The largest and most diverse academic group in the University with a presence across all six campuses, the AEL Group focuses on developing programs to prepare students for a changing world. Encompassing the creative and performing arts, law, education, criminology, social science, languages and humanities, the AEL Group delivers outstanding scholarship and research that makes a major contribution to society.

The Pro Vice Chancellor will be an inspirational leader who has the intellectual standing, passion, personality and confidence to continue to build the AEL Group, ensuring it delivers global research impact whilst maintaining its outstanding record of achievement in education delivery and student experience. We are searching for a candidate who will bring great intellectual distinction and a track record of success in leading complex academic units, setting and executing a vision for the future that will allow the Group to capitalise on opportunities and continue to deliver impact across teaching and research. The successful candidate will also demonstrate the ability to engage with diverse communities and industry to create economic, social and cultural value, and an alignment with the University's values and culture.

The Pro Vice Chancellor (AEL) is a member of the University Executive and the key representative of the University to the community and the professions and disciplines associated with the Group. The successful candidate will be appointed for five years, with an ongoing underlying professorial appointment.
