SENIOR RESEARCH ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT AND EDUCATION SPECIALISTOffice of the Vice President for Research, to provide research administration support to the MIT community, applying advanced knowledge of research administration policies and in-depth understanding of MIT’s research administration enterprise systems.  Will serve as a resource to research administrators and provide support and education for systems, processes, policies, and best practices in research administration.  Will act as first point-of-contact for research administrators regarding research administration policies, practices, sponsor requirements, and systems; collaborate with content experts across MIT to facilitate development/revision of roles-based curriculum for research administration that integrates policy and process with best practices; design and develop curriculum for the Kuali Coeus grants management system, including training materials, training modules, teaching aids; participate in research administration projects, particularly those tied to system and tool delivery for campus users; and assist with identifying and developing best practices for the MIT community. Will also provide key roles within project teams, including project management; business analysis; process documentation; quality assurance and end user testing; training design, development, and delivery; and communications.  

Job Requirements

REQUIRED:  bachelor’s degree; at least five years’ experience in sponsored research administration and in an academic or related setting; broad experience with enterprise-wide systems including SAP and KC; ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal guidance, and learn and master complex systems and understand the interdependencies involved when updating and manipulating them; proven experience developing curriculum and delivering training; excellent project planning skills; ability to coordinate programs and logistics; strong customer service orientation; and ability to interact collegially with a wide variety of individuals.  Job #17387-9
