Applications are invited for the position of Senior Teaching Fellow in Geography Education. This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and expanding team shaping sector-leading provision for Moray House School of Education in the subject area of Geography Education.
You will demonstrate established contributions to teaching and learning, preferably with academic experience in the HE sector. You will have established credibility in the field of Geography Education, making an impact at authority or national level.
In the discipline/subject area of Geography, you will contribute, mainly, to the delivery of an excellent student experience by developing, teaching and administering Geography Education courses within undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and leading Social Studies, generally. You will work as a member of a team in the development of visions for Sustainability Education and STEM in the School of Education. You will represent Geography Education, in its broadest sense in appropriate networks nationally, including across the University of Edinburgh Teacher Education Partnerships with Local Authorities and schools and collaborations with learned societies (i.e. research and professional associations; museums and outreach providers) and/or industry partners.
This post is a full-time, open ended post with a salary of £40,792 - £48,677 per annum, commencing August 2019.
