3D Workshops Manager
Salary: £33,199 - £37,345 per annum
Hours: Full Time
Leeds Arts University is the only specialist arts university in the North of England. We have contributed significantly to the development of arts education for over 170 years, and have developed a national and international reputation based on the achievements of our students and staff.
The successful candidate will manage and develop the University’s 3D workshops across the institution along with their team of instructors. They will take the lead on, and have responsibility for, all Health & Safety matters in the workshops ensuring safe practice at all times whilst providing students with the appropriate technical skills required to support their subject disciplines as determined by the University.
Applicants should be aware that this role involves some flexibility in working hours and could include evening sessions when required.
The successful applicant should have an arts degree that incorporates significant use of 3D making techniques and should also have a sound knowledge and understanding in at least 3 of the following areas:
- Woodworking methods
- Metalwork techniques
- 3D scanning/printing
- Use of CNC for wood/metal
Previous experience in assisting or instructing students is essential to this role as well as being able communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
