Salary: $69,148 - $93,830 (Level A) or $98,775 - $117,290 (Level B) plus 9.5% superannuation. Level of appointment is subject to the appointee’s research record, qualifications and experience.

The Research Fellow Biosecurity Data Science will provide analytical support to research projects that the Centre of Excellence for Biosecurity Risk Analysis (CEBRA) undertakes on behalf of its sponsors. You will be a self-starter, proficient in statistical/scientific programming and able to undertake and implement complex data analysis tasks under limited supervision. Just as importantly, you will be able to communicate complex analyses to a wide audience in different formats.

The successful candidate will ideally have significant experience in a business analytics / data science role and have at least an undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline. You will also have a track record of collaborating effectively with a wide variety of people, including excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Most importantly, you will possess an ability to identify creative solutions to complex problems and an aptitude for translating those solutions into practice. Experience in biosecurity, intelligence, health or policing would be viewed favourably, but is not necessary.
