NEWS WRITERSloan School of Management, to write about leadership and corporate systems for Ideas Made to Matter, the editorial section of Sloan’s redesigned website. Will find surprising insights in academic research, see the big picture and future of new ideas and technologies, and bring global business leaders the knowledge they need to build and manage innovative companies; and serve as an important member of the social media team.  Specific tasks will include reporting, editing, and writing news articles; developing expert sources; contributing to an editorial calendar; conducting traffic and audience analysis to inform future work; developing and posting content on social media networks; and collaborating on photography and design ideas.  

Will work in Cambridge’s Kendall Square, one of the most innovative neighborhoods in the country.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: at least three years’ experience writing about business, science, or technology in a news or editorial environment; comfort writing about corporate functions and systems, leadership, and other business topics; experience writing for web audiences and with social media and email distribution in mind; experience packaging news for digital consumption; strong writing, editing, and copyediting skills; careful attention to detail and accuracy ; knowledge of Associated Press style; familiarity with content management systems; solid editorial judgment; commitment to engaging, meaningful content; and an understanding of design and photography best practices and tools and of analytics and tools for measuring impact and reach of content.  Job #17371-7
