In 2013, UM launched a new academic unit, the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) (http://fhs.umac.mo/), which aims at providing excellent education programmes, performing outstanding research and delivering dedicated services to the community. FHS emphasizes on the research in the areas of Aging, Animal behaviours, Bioinformatics, Cancer, Cell cycle, Development, Epigenetics, Genomics, Metabolic diseases, Pharmacology, Proteomics, Stem Cells, Systems Biology, Transgenics and/or Translational research. To cope with the latest development, FHS is particularly interested in recruiting personnel with extensive research experience in areas of translational medicine, precision medicine, and/or oncology. 

Position & Requirements

Assistant Professors:

A doctoral degree in related biological, health and/or medical studies; minimum three years of postdoctoral training that demonstrates high potential of excellence in research and teaching. Qualified candidates will be recommended to apply China’s “Youth Thousand Talents Plan”. 

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2019 or January 2020 the latest.

Position and Remuneration
Remuneration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification, current position and professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
