The Role

  • Fixed Term (until December 2019), Full Time
  • $76,280 to $82,547 p.a. (plus 9.5% superannuation)
  • Dubbo, Bathurst or Orange

As a Student Liaison Officer (Online), you will work closely with the Manager, Online Student Engagement. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of support programs to identified students studying online. You will provide support through group programs, individual consultations (either face-to-face or online) and the development of appropriate resources.

On occasion, you will be required to travel for periods of up to one week at a time.

To be successful you will have:

  • Relevant degree (or equivalent) and understanding of the issues related to successful participation, transition, engagement and success in online higher education by people with diverse backgrounds;
  • Highly developed communication and relationship skills;
  • Experience collecting, analysing and presenting information to inform the development of strategies and programs;
  • Current Class C drivers licence.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students) is a member of the Vice-Chancellor's Leadership Team. As such, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students) also assists the Vice-Chancellor generally in providing positive leadership and management for the University.

The Division of Student Services work collaboratively with Faculties and Divisions to enhance students' University experience. The Division recognises that a successful transition into university requires a holistic approach to both academic and social integration. Through inclusive practices we build aspiration levels for Higher Education, enhance participation in chosen courses of study and enable people to make smooth transitions into University, successful study, and become effective members of their profession.

The Division has 112 FTE staff and an annual operating budget of AUD$19.5 million.
