Position overview:

Due to upcoming parental leave, the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences has an opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our team as Deputy HR Manager. The role has a broad remit including employee relations, HR project management, workplace health and safety and the provision of generalist HR advice. You will partner with the Human Resources Manager in HR service delivery and provide confident and authoritative HR advice to senior staff within the College while managing a small team of HR staff which is responsible for HR transactional processing, reporting and the provision of HR consulting services to all areas of the College. As Deputy HR Manager, you will take a leadership role in continued HR process improvement while supporting a diverse client group of professional and academic staff.

The ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) is one of seven Colleges at ANU. The College, which is structured into two main research schools, offers degrees in more than 20 discipline areas and excels in research across the creative arts, humanities and social sciences. The College has a substantial international research presence and is a major source of national policy advice. Our academic staff are internationally recognised for their research, and 57 are members of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, the Academy of the Social Sciences of Australia, or both. We also host 13 Australian Research Council Future Fellows and three ARC Laureates. A hub of vibrant activity, we host more than 270 lectures, concerts and exhibitions each year, most of which are open to the public. Our students, staff and graduates come from more than 60 nations, bringing a diversity of perspective to campus life.

This is a high profile role, which will suit an experienced HR practitioner who is outcomes focussed, innovative, and customer service oriented with a proven ability to manage complex cases and HR projects in a fast - paced environment.
