Candidates do not need to reside in Perth to be considered for this role.  Work on the units could be carried out remotely.

Your new role

This is an exciting opportunity for you to use your strong applied psychology experience to:

  • Assist with the development of two units for the new Graduate Certificate in Forensic Psychology, in collaboration with Open Universities Australia.
  • Assist with the development of online materials.
  • Influence the overall academic experience of higher education by recognizing the particular learning needs of forensic psychology students.

You will bring to the role

  • A doctoral qualification/progression towards a doctoral qualification in Psychology.
  • Strong forensic psychology teaching knowledge and experience, particularly in the areas of (i) understanding victims and offenders, and (ii) psychology and policing.
  • An understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice, relevant to the discipline.
  • Ability to contribute to curriculum review and renewal.
  • High level interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and organisational skills
