IT ASSISTANT IIResource Development (RD)-Office of Strategic Information Management, to provide frontline user support and request triage for a range of applications and solutions to support Resource Development and advancement staff throughout MIT.  Will work directly with clients via telephone, email, and in-person to identify, triage, and resolve issues; work with RD-IT team members, accurately describing problems, resolving and/or escalating where necessary, and then translating their technical answers into user-friendly responses; and work with a broad range of products, information resources and systems, and business processes and providing support, triage, escalation/resolution, and recovery for support requests.  Members of the RD Information Technology team may work on one or more projects concurrently as a team member. 

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: a high school diploma or its equivalent; at least three years of work experience in computer systems support or related field; initiative; ability to manage a high volume of work; tact and good judgment with confidential information; excellent communication skills; ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships in a team-oriented atmosphere and provide a strong customer service base for all organizational technology needs; willingness to learn about new technologies and take on new challenges; demonstrated working knowledge of basic hardware and software products and problem solving/diagnostic skills; ability to quickly learn and understand software applications, systems, and Resource Development business processes; and experience with Apple computers and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and FileMaker Pro software.  Associate’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred.  Job #17653-5
