Job Summary

We are seeking an qualified research engineer with a background in electrical hardware design, programming, and robotics. Qualified candidates would work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on the design, fabrication and testing of embedded systems and biologging tags to support on-going research efforts.

Responsibilities*

The qualified candidate would be expected to synthesize design requirements, prepare electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, design printed circuit boards, fabricate both electronic devices and mechanical parts, and test the completed systems.

Required Qualifications*

 The ability to program micro-controllers for embedded systems in Python/C/C++ and knowledge of USB, SPI, I2C and UART communication protocols is required.

The qualified candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or robotics.

Desired Qualifications*

A background in control systems, sensor fusion, and signal processing is recommended for this position.
