A full-time senior teaching associate post (grade J) is available within Translational Health Sciences in the Bristol Medical School. The postholder will be based in the Bristol Heart Institute in the Bristol Royal Infirmary. The post is on pathway 3 and will focus on teaching and learning activities on the MSc in Translational Cardiovascular Medicine (TCM) which is delivered as a campus-based or distance learning programme and also provides two of the taught units and research projects for the MRes in TCM programme.

The postholder will work with the Director and teaching staff of the MSc in TCM programme to contribute to the delivery of teaching and learning activities on the MSc and MRes in TCM. The postholder will be responsible for developing and delivering lectures, tutorials and workshops as well as innovative teaching methods including e-learning.

Additionally, the teaching associate will be required to contribute to the pastoral care and administrative tasks which facilitate support to the students and the delivery of the programme. The postholder will involve setting and marking of assessments and contributing to reviewing of the programme and developing the programme in the light of student and staff feedback.
