Hardware Design Quality Engineer

Department : Biomed Eng & Imaging Sci School Office

We are seeking a proactive individual with experience of medical device design in a regulated environment to join our team and assist in the translation of our research. This is an exciting opportunity to work on state-of-the-art technology in collaboration with clinicians and engineers in a clinical setting.

The primary role of the post holder will be to work with groups in the CME to ensure medical device design meets the required quality and safety standards for transfer to the clinic.

The post holder will be expected to identify gaps in information and processes; recommending solutions, and be responsible for setting standards and developing procedures that meet the needs of different groups across the School and CME. The individual will help establish and maintain a Quality Management System and act as the quality lead for hardware design control processes. The Quality Engineer will work closely with the University's partner Trusts, including colleagues from Guy's & St. Thomas' hospital's department of Medical Physics. 

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 2 years. 
This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent. 
The selection process will include a panel interview, an assessment. 

Grade and Salary : £37,412 - £53,355 per annum
