The post holder will be responsible for implementing a standardized method of generating and validating patient derived organoids from different tumour types, which can then be introduced across the Imaging Network, creating an annotated organoid repository for image related studies. The anticipated use of organoids by commercial companies will require robust documented evidence of organoid validation. The post holder will work as part of the NCITA QA/QC Unit and be accountable to the NCITA QA/QC Unit manager based at Imperial for all QA/QC Unit specific tasks.
In addition, the post holder will provide practical expertise in optimizing tissue processing for a range of assays that complement imaging data and increase data input into artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms. There is a strong emphasis on shared-learning within the Imaging Network to enhance delivery of results.
All tasks will be carried out to the highest quality and within the guidelines set out by current legislation.
The post holder is also expected to facilitate and participate in Comprehensive Cancer Centre research and development programmes.
This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 4 years
This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent
