Applications are invited for appointment as Senior Lecturer in the Journalism and Media Studies Centre (Ref.: 495479) (to commence on September 1, 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a three-year fixed-term basis)
Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in journalism or a related field with at least eight years’ relevant professional experience as a journalist and/or editor covering politics, economics, military, social and cultural affairs in China. They should also have experience in teaching professional courses specifically involving coverage of China and on business journalism at tertiary level. The appointee will be responsible for teaching courses on business journalism in a global era, covering China, as well as designing curriculum and developing new courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
