$121,829 - $188,736 (ALC-ALE) plus applicable Superannuation, and market loading by negotiation.

Established in 2017, the Curtin Medical School, which is part of the Faculty of Health Sciences, brings together multidisciplinary teaching, research and development expertise, and offers the only undergraduate medical degree in Western Australia. The curriculum clinical placement program is driven by a future focused approach to medicine and aligns with the School’s emphasis on medically undeserved populations in rural, remote and outer metropolitan locations in Western Australia.
Your new role
The Curtin Medical School invites applications from eligible candidates, for new positions within the School, based at the Bentley campus. The University may make more than one part-time appointment. The level of appointment is negotiable depending on qualifications and skills. In the early years of its establishment Curtin Medical School has focused on providing innovation and excellence in teaching. As a teaching academic staff member, you will coordinate the development of written exams and OSCEs in the later years of the course, as well as assisting with the development of the curriculum. Over time the School will also be working to establish its research focus and build its research capacity.

You will bring to the role
- A registerable medical qualification and proven teaching skills with experience in medical education;
- Experience in writing/developing written and practical assessments for medical students;
- Proven interpersonal skills;
- Experience in teaching medical students in classroom/clinical settings;
- Current engagement in clinical research (desirable).
