Applications are invited for the post of Interim Head of Customer Services. This is an exciting, essential and central role within Library Services at Royal Holloway.
The Interim Head of Customer Services will lead, manage and develop the customer services team within Library Services, ensuring high quality service at all times in a Library that is open 24/7, 350 days per year. The role includes collaborative working across a range of services within the Academic Services Directorate, including those located alongside the Library in the new Emily Wilding Davison Building located at the heart of the campus.
The interim nature of the role is to ensure strong leadership following the retirement of the Head of Customer Services and the appointment of the Director of Library, Learning Support & Culture, and will provide the opportunity to develop fresh, innovative ways to provide a customer service that matches the superb building.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and innovative information professional, equipped with strong leadership skills, looking to ensure a high quality customer experience at all times. The role will include working collaboratively and closely with other departments and services across Royal Holloway as well as contributing to the Library’s overall strategy as a member of its Management Team.

The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the College is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London. Royal Holloway is a lively research-led environment. The Library has 1,250 high quality study seats, over 450 PCs and loanable laptops, with all collections housed within the Davison Building. The building embraces the beautiful campus, and has become the centre of campus life.
