The School of Education is seeking to appoint an outstanding and inspirational academic leader at professorial level to make a significant contribution to our research and teaching in the area of higher education and internationalisation. They will pursue high quality research and publication in top journals in an area related to higher education with an international focus contributing to the scholarly activities of one or more of our thriving research centres. The successful individual will further provide academic leadership in the area of higher education including links with international providers and institutes. As part of their academic leadership role, the successful candidate will be expected to identify and exploit strategic opportunities related to internationalisation of our curriculum and research endeavours. They will make a teaching and curriculum development contribution in areas related to their subject expertise, ideally on the MSc in Education, and/or the BSc Education Studies, and/or the School’s provision in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will further supervise MSc dissertations and PhD and EdD theses, attract external research funding from research councils, government, industry or other sources and make a wider contribution to the success of the University through their participation in faculty and university-wide governance and development activities. Candidates will be at the forefront of their field, and will be expected to play a significant role in the delivery of the School’s research strategy.
