Job description

Full-time, Permanent

The post holder is expected to contribute to the overall operation of the Information Governance Unit through ensuring Group compliance with standard legal requirements such as Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other such legislation as required.

The post holder is expected to manage known data risks (both in terms of quality and security) ensuring that appropriate technological and organisation measures are taken.  The post holder is responsible for advising the business in relation to internal control of data and data strategies.  The individual is responsible for escalation as necessary of any internal control or emerging matters arising.  The post holder is responsible for ensuring that corrective action is taken when data protection or data quality matters are identified. The post holder should ensure communication with staff involved insignificant change activity is provided in a timely and effective manner.
