Clinical Research Fellow

Department : Cardiovascular Department

We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Research Fellow, fixed term for a period of 12 months within our Cardiovascular Department to work in the area of Cardiac MRI under the supervision of Dr Amedeo Chiribiri, the Head of Adult Non-Congenital Cardiac MRI Services.

The post is intended for Specialty Trainees in Cardiology who intend to specialise in the cardiac imaging sub-specialty or who have already commenced training in general cardiology and wish to gain more sub-specialty experience in Cardiac MRI (CMR), by taking an Out-Of-Programme Experience (OOPE) from their current training programmes.

The successful candidate will be able to learn the advanced skills in the area of CMR and will gain high volume experience leading to an accredited Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) certification in a busy, high volume and cutting-edge clinical-research setting.

The ideal candidate will receive sub-speciality experience in CMR imaging to further their medical career or alternatively be seeking a year's clinical research experience which would allow them time to write grants and apply for further fellowships that reward further academic and clinical excellence.

This post will be a fixed-term contract for 12 months
