Professor/ Associate Professor of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine 

A Professor/ Associate Professor position at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is open for the expansion of research in Stem cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine. The ideal applicant will have an international reputation that complements the School’s existing expertise in Developmental Biology, Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. Reporting to the Vice Dean, Research and Dean, the appointee is expected to undertake high quality research with a focus on the role of stem cells in epithelial homeostasis, repair and disease. The appointee will build a programme capable of attracting substantial external research funding and supporting postdoctoral research staff and postgraduate students. The appointee will also be expected to contribute to undergraduate medical and postgraduate student education.  

Person Specification:

  • PhD degree
  • Significant experience and outstanding record of research with a high level of scientific achievement, productivity and impact in the field of Stem cell biology and Regenerative Medicine 
  • Strong track record in internationally competitive research evidenced by high impact peer-reviewed publications
  • Proven track record of strong leadership and ability to drive change
  • Track record of effective teaching at the undergraduate level
  • Ability to work in and develop teams and to create networks at both a national and international level
  • Understanding of the academic and administrative needs of internationally recognised universities
