  • Salary range: $67,769 - $91,969 per annum (plus super)

About the Job

As a key member of the ‘intelligent materials and devices group’ led by Professor Krasimir Vasilev, you will contribute to research aimed at the development of biomedical devices, materials and technologies. You will be involved with an industry focused project that is aimed at generating materials responsive to the presence of bacteria.

You will design and perform a range of experiments, prepare articles and materials for publication, and will also contribute to the teaching activities of the School through the development of research-related materials.

Skills and Experience

A PhD in chemistry, polymer synthesis, biochemistry or a related discipline is essential. Demonstrated experience with a variety of advanced techniques used in chemical analysis, along with a sound understanding of chemical synthesis techniques used in both the aqueous and organic environment is also a key requirement.

In addition, you will also have excellent written communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with other members of your research team.
