The International Programs Manager is the leader for Penn Summer Abroad (PSA), International Guest Student Program (IGSP), and the Penn Summer Global Institutes (PSGI) in the College of Liberal and Professional Studies. These programs provide outbound courses for Penn undergraduates and inbound study abroad experiences for high achieving international university students. The program manager oversees program operations, policies and procedures and serves as primary liaison and point of contact with LPS partner institutions abroad as well as University of Pennsylvania offices. In addition, the manager will organize contracts with housing and event providers for the PSGI and IGSP, and will be responsible for maintaining the program budget in coordination with the Market Street Business Office. In service to the broader LPS organization, this position participates in strategic planning for international initiatives and supports LPS Enrollment Management in understanding international students’ enrollments, assist other LPS programs with navigating the international student markets, and collaborate with the Administrative Directors of Summer Sessions and Summer High School programs with the enrollment of international students by developing communication strategies and providing operational support.

Required: Master’s in international higher education, or related field; Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience working with an international student population; Experience administering international education programs; Experience advising students; Experience in international program development; Fiscal management skills; Excellent communication and advising skills; Proven ability to work with many international constituencies, diverse population of students, parents, faculty and staff in the U.S. and abroad; Willingness to travel domestically and work weekends as needed.

Preferred: 5-7 years study abroad experience; ESL teaching and/or assessments; Fluency in at least one foreign language; Semester or more residing or studying abroad.
