SENIOR CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOROffice Of Sponsored Programs (OSP), to responsible for the administration of agreements for major academic departments, laboratories, and centers (DLCs) related to sponsored projects, including proposal review, grant and contract negotiations, and post-award administration. Will terminate and close out awards; monitor preparation of reports on property, patents, expenditures and the like; obtain instructions and disposition of overruns, etc.; advise and consult with appropriate Institute personnel on the preparation of proposals, budgets, cost sharing, and faculty effort; serve as a senior point of contact for one or more federal funding agencies; consult with and advise department heads, laboratory and center directors, faculty, and staff on all matters related to sponsored programs; attend local and regional meetings of professional research administrators and keep abreast of changes in sponsor requirements and legislation affecting sponsored programs; and assist with the professional development of others by acting as a mentor, leading workshops or group activities, and conducting formal training sessions.  Will also perform other duties as assigned including serving on Institute committees and working on special projects.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, at least five years of experience in one or more aspects of sponsored program administration, in-depth knowledge of agency policies and procedures, proven ability to establish problem solving relationships, a record of successful submission of proposals and negotiation of terms, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Experience in a university environment preferred.  Job #17314-9
