The Research Coordinator will support a study examining consumer views on digital health information collected by wearables and smartphones and work with the Principle Investigator on other research projects in development and underway. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the research coordinator will manage data using Microsoft Access and Excel, assist in data analyses using Stata/SAS. NVivo, and other software packages, submit protocol modifications and continuing reviews to the IRB as needed, perform literature reviews, and write reports and sections of grant proposals and manuscripts for publication.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work primarily on multiple projects focused in two areas:1) digital health information privacy and 2) best practices for cost conversations between clinicians and patients. The primary project examines consumer views on digital health information collected by wearables and smartphones. Under the direction of the Principle Investigator, the coordinator will collect data, manage data sets using Microsoft Excel, and assist in the analysis of data using NVivo and other statistical software packages. They will submit protocol modifications and continuing review updates to the IRB as needed and will conduct literature reviews and participate in the preparation of reports and manuscripts. They will also be responsible for coordinating projects between investigators at Penn and other universities and community partners.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

A Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master’s degree and clinical research experience is preferred. Applicants must have demonstrated the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently, to multi-task, and have had prior experience managing and analyzing data.
