The University of Bristol is recruiting a Staff Development Officer to design, deliver and manage high-quality and strategic learning and development initiatives for its 3000+ professional services (non-academic) staff.

As a Learning and Development specialist, you will be passionate about both helping learners to fulfil their personal potential and supporting the University to deliver its ambitious strategic objectives through empowering and developing its people.

Working with a diverse range of people internally and externally, your ability to communicate effectively at all levels is a key element of this role. Typical projects will include delivering face to face training and team building workshops, facilitating peer learning networks or action learning sets, organising large internal conferences or managing an online learning platform. There will be a particular emphasis on supporting leadership and management development initiatives.

As well as being a confident and effective face-to-face trainer, you will also possess excellent project management skills ensuring the seamless delivery of simultaneous initiatives, and a skilled communicator to help support the ongoing promotion of the University's Staff Development function and build on its strong reputation.

The position is offered on a four-day per week basis, for a fixed term maternity cover.

Interview date will be 10th May 2019.

Informal enquiries can be made to Ros Hitchen (Ros.Hitchen@bristol.ac.uk).

We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world’s leading universities.
