A 12 month Gardener vacancy has arisen to provide maternity cover within The University of Bristol Gardens & Grounds team. The role will be as part of a small team undertaking high quality amenity gardening and landscape maintenance primarily in our historic Clifton gardens including Goldney Hall gardens.

You should have reasonable gardening experience, ideally within a similar horticultural field and have recognised horticultural qualifications. You must possess a full valid driving licence with no previous driving disqualifications or convictions and currently no more than 3 penalty points. Due to insurance policy requirements we are unable to appoint anyone under the age of 21 to undertake this vacancy. Any certification of competence would also be beneficial, as would practical plant knowledge.

You should also have good communication and interpersonal skills, be able to use your own initiative and be both literate and numerate.

Informal enquiries can be made to Kevin Stuckey, Horticultural Manager: kevin.stuckey@bristol.ac.uk

The closing date for applications is 11.59pm on Sunday 29th April 2019.

We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world’s leading universities.
