Research Associate in Membrane Protein Folding

A Research Associate position is available for 5 years to work in the group of Prof Paula Booth. The research will focus on the folding and biogenesis of integral membrane proteins. This is a multi-disciplinary project investigating the co-translational folding of membrane proteins using innovative approaches across biophysics, cell biology and chemistry. 

The post-holder will work within a vibrant research laboratory and will be able to direct their work and collaborate with other lab members and external research groups. They will also be able to develop new approaches to investigate membrane protein folding.

Applicants should have a PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Chemistry or a related field, and experience with membrane proteins, folding kinetics, molecular biology, unnatural amino acids or membrane protein biogenesis and insertion would be an advantage.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for 5 years.

This is a full-time- 100 % full time equivalent.

The selection process will include a panel interview and a presentation.

Grade and Salary :    Grade 6, £37,412 to £41,683 per annum, inclusive of £3,223 per annum London Allowance
