Curriculum Development Manager (Doctor of Medicine)

POSITION SUMMARY

This is currently a unique opportunity to join and contribute to the growing research and education program in Vinmec Healthcare System as well as the up-coming VinUni (Health Sciences) in 2018. VinUni/Vinmec desires a collegial, collaborative, outstanding medical educator with significant medical education career (particularly in MD program leadership).

The qualified Curriculum Manager of VinUni project would be promoted to one of the key positions (tentatively Academic faculty member or Education manager) of VinUniversity – Health Sciences once it has been established.

REPORTING LINE
Reports to: Chief of Curriculum Development and VinUni-Health Sciences leadership 
 
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Identify and develop standards, procedures, guidelines related to curriculum development and management.
  • Develop curriculum framework, detailed curriculum, and teaching-learning materials under the direction of Program director and the direct supervision of Chief of Curriculum Development.
  • Collaborate the activities related to reviewing/amending the curriculum materials provided by experts.
  • Build up and maintain partnerships with recruitment agencies, accreditation agencies, and other universities for the development of the program.
  • Collaborate with others to organize national/international conferences/workshops as required.
  • Teach and perform professional practice under the scope of activities of VinUni and Partners.
  • Support clinical education team of VinUni/Vinmec in assigned area of works.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Doctor of Medicine Degree and at least a Master Degree or equivalent (Doctoral degree is preferred).
  • Experience in curriculum development, previous work in hospitals’ office for CME-CNE or universities is preferred.
  • Experience in state-of-art teaching pedagogies such as TBL and simulation is preferred.
  • Open-minded, logical thinking, highly responsible, determined and decisive.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY
English is the language of teaching and communication at Vin University. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS (Academic) with a score of at least 6.5 or equivalent. 

For Higher Education roles, English Language Proficiency may also be proven by having completed PhD studies while being instructed through the medium of English. 
 
WORK PERMIT
All foreign employees must adhere to the requirements for obtaining a valid visa and work permit in Vietnam. These requirements are mandated by the Government and may be over and above the mandatory requirements and key selection criteria. Work permit requirements are subject to change.
