Biomed Eng & Imaging Sci School Office

The Centre for Medical Engineering at King's College London are looking for a Magnetic Resonance (MR) Physicist/Engineer to facilitate collaborative research in the field of Ultra High Field (7T) MR.

We are installing a new Siemens Terra 7T whole body scanner within an imaging clinical research facility at St Thomas' Hospital in London. The facility is to be used by researchers drawn from across London's premier Universities and Research Institutes to deliver a wide-ranging research program that draws on the combined strength of the London MRI community. The primary focus of this role will be to develop, test and support imaging and spectroscopy methods as part of collaborative research programs. You will be a core scientist working as part of a small team who will together ensure that the opportunity afforded by combining the latest high field technology with expert research in a hospital setting is fully realised.

The role holder will have a good understanding of MR physics, engineering, pulse sequence design, and be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the scientific and clinical research applications of MR, ideally with expertise in ultra-high field methods.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 27/04/2022.

This is a full-time post - 100% full time equivalent.

The selection process will include a panel interview, and a presentation.
