Senior Lecturer in Advanced Clinical Practice

At Staffordshire University, our vision is to be an anchor university, connected to businesses, industry and health care providers and to our local communities, working with schools, colleges and partner organisations to continue to raise aspirations, improve progression into higher education and to contribute to the health, social and economic development.

The School of Health and Social Care (HSC) is fundamental to meeting this vision by offering a range of courses from foundation degree apprenticeships, undergraduate study, to continuing professional development, postgraduate and doctoral study, as well offering a range of workforce development modules and study days. The school works closely with practice partners to prepare and develop health and social care professionals to provide high quality care. You will be joining us at an exciting time where we are preparing for the future nurse curriculum and the potential this offers for teaching and learning our future students.

We are currently seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Advanced Clinical Practice to join a team of experienced academics and clinicians. The post holder will contribute to the delivery of a range of health-related courses and programs with particular emphasis on advanced practice, clinical assessment and diagnostic skills and advanced physiology, whilst contributing to advanced scholarly activity and research within this area.

The post holder must have post-registration professional experience of delivering and managing clinical services at an advanced practice level or experience of academic delivery of advanced practice programs and must have active registration with the NMC/HCPC.

The post holder must also have current experience of wider leadership/professional and governance issues related to advanced practice and experience of facilitating learning for students in practice environments.

Interviews will be held on 22 and 24 May 2019.
