The School of English and Journalism is seeking to expand its provision in Creative Writing at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, delivering internal programmes and a recently launched degree in Creative Writing and Publishing offered in partnership with The Guardian. Our vision is to be recognised nationally and internationally for excellence and innovation in teaching, practice and research into creative writing. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic Lecturer to join a dynamic and growing community of academics and students. The Lecturer in Creative Writing will be expected to make a significant contribution to the teaching of core undergraduate modules in the School, as well as offering sessions at Masters level. We particularly appreciate applications from those with experience in areas such as script writing, prose and with an understanding of the publishing industry. Candidates will be expected to have a clear publication record. The ideal candidate will also have completed or be near to completion of a PhD.
