DAVID C. LAM INSTITUTE FOR EAST-WEST (LEWI)

LEWI (http://lewi.hkbu.edu.hk) was founded in 1995 as a university-wide research centre at Hong Kong Baptist University to promote east-west research initiatives. One of it’s major themes is Environment, Health and Sustainability Studies.

The appointee is expected to conduct independent research, submit grant proposals, and undertake studies on environmental and health studies.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree preferably in Environmental Studies, Geography, Biology or a related discipline with research output directed towards environmental issues and health. The candidate is also expected to assist in some teaching tasks and provide support to conferences.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
