Nottingham Law School is one of the leading providers of academic and professional legal education in the country with an established record of delivering innovative and transformational courses. The School has over 100 academic staff and in excess of 3,000 students of whom over 500 are students studying on postgraduate or practitioner courses.

The School has built a reputation for research in areas including insolvency law, corporate law, criminal justice, human rights, dispute resolution, sports law, medical law, and legal education.  We have long established links with policy makers, professional bodies and leading law firms, as well as with a number of significant international associations.  We have an extensive record of delivery of excellent bespoke training programmes for practitioners and professional bodies and have particular strengths in commissioned research. Drawing upon a range of disciplinary perspectives and expertise, the School’s research activities are recognised as world leading or internationally excellent. Working with a range of international collaborators, our research has informed the development of law, policy and practice both in the UK and overseas.

The School is seeking to appoint an Associate Professor (Teaching & Research) in corporate or commercial law to undertake internationally excellent and world-leading research and teach on both our undergraduate and postgraduate portfolios.  A first and higher degree in law or a cognate discipline are essentials. We welcome applications from academics with a sustained an established track record of internationally excellent research outputs in any aspect of corporate or commercial law.
