Working in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace & Automotive Engineering, you will be committed to contributing to our continued success in the delivery of engineering programmes. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of topics relating to mechanical and automotive disciplines with a particular emphasis on delivering mechanical science and design curriculum. You will need to share our passion for delivering an outstanding student experience that puts excellence in teaching and learning atthe heart of everything we do. You will be able to demonstrate significant knowledge in your area of specialisation and a desire for passing on your knowledge to your students. You must be willing to work flexibly for example supporting student recruitment activity and engaging in STEM and Outreach work as well as potentially deliver teaching internationally or around the UK at one of our partner institutes.
The position is primarily open to candidates who wish to focus on developing teaching practice, creating outstanding student experiences and inspiring the future generation of engineers through STEM and outreach activity.
Ideally,the candidate should be qualified to MSc / MEng level in a Mechanical Engineering discipline. However, we also encourage candidates with relevant industrial experience to an equivalent level to apply.
Experience of working on applied research projects or contracts, STEM ambassadorship as well as participation in professional practice/consultancy will be advantageous.
