The School of Civil, Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering wishes to appoint a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Reader in Structural Engineering to be based in the Civil Engineering Department. The successful candidate will be expected to take an active role in expanding our structures research efforts. Potentially they will make use of our existing large-scale test facilities and the two new UKCRIC facilities we are developing; the Soil-Foundation-Structure Interaction laboratory and one of the Integrated Urban Infrastructure Labs (or Collaboratories).

They will also have the opportunity to develop links with the School's world-leading composites research activities and align to our strategic activities in our broader thematic areas such as Advanced Composites, and Infrastructure & Future Cities. In addition, the successful applicant would support the teaching of structures and/or structural design on our Civil Engineering programmes.
