Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officers (holding the title of Educational Psychologist) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref: 494351), to commence as soon as possible on a three-year fixed-term basis.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or above in Educational Psychology or a related discipline.  They should have vigorous training or experience in teaching mindfulness to adults; good research skills in psychology and good practical skills in professional educational psychology; and a good command of written and spoken English.  Candidates with work experience in school setting are preferred.

The appointees will work in the Mindful School Culture Project which aims at studying and promoting mindful school culture in Hong Kong.  They will help to plan and implement public education on mindfulness; organize and deliver training to school teachers, professionals, parents and students; provide consultation to school personnel on building a mindful school culture; and to write up research reports and non-technical documents.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At the current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of the gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of the basic salary.  Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
