LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER IN ENERGY ECONOMICS

The Business School is looking to appoint a full-time advanced Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Energy Economics. 

For appointments made at the Lecturer level, the successful applicant will have a strong, internationally recognised publication record in Economics (or demonstrable potential to publish in internationally recognised peer reviewed journals) related to Energy, Natural Resources and the Environment, and will have a track record in, or demonstrate the ability to undertake, peer-rated grant applications and postgraduate supervision. 

For appointments made at the Senior Lecturer level, the successful applicant will have a strong, internationally recognised publication record in Economics related to Energy, Natural Resources and the Environment, and will have a track record in peer-rated grant applications and postgraduate supervision.  

For either level of appointment research excellence and an enthusiasm to encourage and support research capacity building within the School are important requirements for the post. 

Effective and innovative teaching are also key aspects of the post at either the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. At the Senior Lecturer level, proven administration and management experience are desirable in the successful applicant. 

For appointments at Lecturer level, salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 7 salary scale (£40,792 - £48,676 per annum).  

For appointment made at Senior Lecturer level, salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 8 salary scale (£51,630 - £58,089 per annum) and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience. 

Any appointment will be made subject to satisfactory references and a 3 year probation period.
