Director of Studies
London School of Theology is the largest interdenominational evangelical theological college in Europe with over 300 full-time and 1,000 distance learning students. Students come from all over the world, from a wide variety of denominations and range in age from 18 to over 60 years. This is an exciting time to join LST as we continue to grow the School, increase student numbers and continue with significant refurbishment and upgrade of our facilities and infrastructure.
LST is seeking to recruit a Director of Studies to oversee the research work of up to 3 to 4 doctoral and master-level students, especially in the area of theological educational research. Theological Educational scholarship is essential but practical theologians with experience in theological education would be considered. The post carries Director of Studies and supervision responsibilities for students in Theological Education and Practical Ministry, as well as administrative responsibilities and limited pastoral care of students.
This is a 0.1 FTE Faculty post.
Occupational requirement: There is an occupational requirement for the postholder to be a practising Christian in accordance with the Equality Act 2010: Part 1, Schedule 9.
The role is expected to start 3rd June 2019.
Salary: £3,564 pa (£35,643 pa FTE)
Hours: 3.5 (0.1 FTE) per week
Term: 24 months with the possibility of an extension
