About the role

  • $72,880k - $82, 467k  plus 9.5% superannuation and leave loading
  • 12 month, Fixed Term-Full time
  • 35hr per week

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Arrange internships (via phone or email) for students in the School of the Arts & Media and faculty internship course ‘HUMS2000’ and provides support to other Schools as needed
  • Work closely with external organisations and other relevant agencies to identify and obtain suitable internship opportunities
  • Develop and maintain positive partnerships with host organisations
  • Works closely with Academic Course Convenor/s to assess and ensure quality internship opportunities
  • Conduct pre-placement interviews with students to assess student capability and readiness and match to a suitable host organisation
  • Work closely with Academic Convenor/s and student services to manage the identification, monitoring and support of ‘at risk’ students, and under the direction of the WIL Manager, develop Learning Plans for ‘at risk’ students
  • Liaise with appropriate stakeholders and contribute to the development, promotion, delivery and evaluation of relevant WIL programs
  • Provide proactive and efficient administrative support within the WIL team, as directed by the WIL Placement Officer or WIL Manager
  • Apply, interpret and advise on policies, systems, manuals, rules, procedures and guidelines, ensuring that compliance requirements in all areas of responsibility are met
  • Ensure hazards and risks are identified and controlled for tasks, projects and activities that pose a health and safety risk within your area of responsibility
