The School of Media and Communication aims to produce graduates who will respond creatively to the challenges of a rapidly changing international, media-driven environment. Media and Communication has strong links with industry, and responds to ongoing change brought about by technology and convergence. The School is positioned as a major contributor and leader of the debate within media driven industries.
The School now seeks a Senior Lecturer, Advertising to contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the Advertising discipline.
As Senior Lecturer Advertising, you will contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the Advertising discipline.
It is expected that you will make a significant contribution to the delivery of programs and to be actively involved in research, consulting and other professional activities.
You will develop, engage in and lead high quality research projects that are aligned with the University's research focus areas. This will aim achieve success in attracting research funding and to produce high quality outputs.
This is an important research leadership role which will be aligned to your research expertise and ultimately embedded into the life of the School. You will be required to develop high-quality, productivity-driven networks across RMIT and with local, national and global, internal and external partners. In addition, you will have responsibility for management of a degree program.
Your Skills and Experience
You will have a proven record of academic and/or professional achievement in Advertising related to RMIT University's research efforts. You will have proven ability to undertake high quality research resulting in high quality journal articles in recognised international journals together with your ability to prepare and win competitive research grants. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment, will be necessary for success in this role.
It is essential that you possess a PhD or equivalent in relevant field.
