CU London opened its doors to its first intake of new university entrants, upskilling professionals and apprentices in September 2017. It offers a unique chance to bring high quality, low cost ‘life-shaped’ professional and technical education to the Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

Role Purpose:

Taking responsibility for the development and delivery of teaching and learning materials, you will be involved in curriculum development and will be able to demonstrate good practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our aspirations to become a high quality provider. Consistently displaying excellent working practices in learning environments, you will need to have a successful track record of supporting student success. Assist the engagement with local employers, experience of successful professional networking would be advantageous.

CU London offers full and part-time courses from Foundation to Degree, Apprenticeships and Accelerated Degrees. The award winning delivery model is flexible and designed to fit around lifestyles; typically with six possible start dates, a choice of mornings, afternoon, evening or even weekend attendance. The ‘digital campus’ of CU London will offer courses taught through a mixture of hands-on learning and online, using the very latest technology.

Students at CU London can expect a high number of contact hours, to study one module at a time, no end of year exams and the opportunity to gain professional accreditations alongside the academic qualification. These combine to provide employability, career-enhancing personal and professional development and high student satisfaction rates.

We're now looking for experienced teaching staff, who share the passion for high quality education, to be part of our team, and support students in attaining excellent achievements.

You should possess excellent IT and communication skills, and the ability to work to deadlines is essential for this post. 

You will be expected to work 36.5 hours per week and this may include evenings and Saturdays.
