As Vice-President for the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health, you will join one of the major UK centres for education and research in health and related subjects. You will work to enhance our reputation and international standing with responsibility for leading the interface for not only the faculty, but the University as a whole, with the NHS and other critical partners. Through inspirational leadership and academic distinction, you will build effective partnerships represent the University at a local, national and international level. 

You will work closely with the university leadership and members of the Professional Services to develop and promote excellence and ambition and collaboration in all University activity. 

With origins dating back to 1828, the Faculty has a long-standing tradition of excellence in clinical education and research. We have over 2,500 students study in the Faculty each year on over 40 different courses. In addition, we have over 200 students registered on research degrees, supporting a faculty research portfolio in excess of £30m. Independent assessment of our teaching and research quality rate us as amongst the best in the UK. 

We are seeking an outstanding candidate who is passionate about the value of Medicine, Dentistry and Health in the world today. You will be an inspiring and creative leader with a successful track record in driving performance of research, learning and teaching and leadership activity. You will have an excellent academic track record, holding a PhD with an international research standing in your field.
