Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Multi-spectral Computed Tomography (CT) in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology (Ref.: 494387), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology consists of a team of enthused scientists and clinicians, and is looking for a prospective team member to work on multi-spectral CT particularly in pre-clinical animal scanner. The Department has recently acquired a pre-clinical multi-spectral CT scanner (https://www.marsbioimaging.com/mars/), in addition to the existing micro PET/3T MRI machine. The team is pursuing important research questions in various areas including, but not limited to, multi-contrast labelling studies, in vivo animal studies, ex-vivo specimens studies, phantom and dosimetric studies.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field. They should be self-driven, highly motivated, creative with excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; and be able to work in a dynamic, diverse and forward thinking department with an international working environment. Firsthand experience in the use of multi-spectral CT scanner would be extremely favourable, but is not a pre-requisite. Abilities to work independently and think “outside the box” are key and would be highly desirable. The appointee will work in close collaboration with radiologists, physicians, biomedical scientists and engineers.
