Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Electronic and Electrical Engineering with a particular emphasis on statistical modelling of data, data analytic and cyber-security analysis for power systems. The research project “Ubiquitous Storage Empowering Response (USER)” has received phase 2 funding from the Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), and is led by Levelise Limited, working with Baxi Heating UK Limited, Ecuity Consulting LLP, Durham University, Engenera Renewables Limited, and Energy Systems Catapult. The project will see a trial of Levelise Limited’s Smart Controls and AI-led optimisation technology in 350 real homes.

The successful applicant will be expected to analyse relevant data, build statistical models to optimise system performance, and study cyber-security risks and mitigation approaches.

This post is fixed term. The project is time limited and will end on 31/12/2020. Successful applicants will, ideally, be in post by 1st May 2019.
