About the Job

The School of Nursing and Midwifery is one of three schools in the Division of Health Sciences. Accommodated in purpose-built teaching facilities, incorporating fully equipped simulated nursing and midwifery environments and research areas.

As the Lecturer in Nursing, you will primarily focus on the delivery of teaching and associated administrative duties within the School’s undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs. You will work with guidance and direction from other academic staff and undertake duties with increasing autonomy as you gain skills and experience. You will also utilise contemporary professional/discipline-related knowledge in your teaching practice, and carry out activities to develop scholarly expertise.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor of Nursing and relevant Master’s degree qualification along with current registration, or eligibility for registration, with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia including a current practicing certificate as a Registered Nurse and/or Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.

To be successful in this role, you will have relevant and recent clinical experience in nursing and/or midwifery. You will also have the ability to undertake a range of teaching duties including the preparation of appropriate teaching materials and resources.
