Conferencing and Events Assistant
Hours: 25 to 36 hours per week. Flexible hours including some evening and weekend work will be required at times.

This role is for a Temporary 4 month role from mid-May to mid-September 2019
St Mary’s University offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as a range of conferencing and events services, at our attractive campus in Strawberry Hill, Twickenham.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our busy Conferencing & Events team on a casual basis over the summer months. Reporting to and working with the Conference and Events Manager, you will provide administrative and event support to the Conferencing & Events team.
The summer is our busiest time of year with a number of international summer schools, international and national conferences, residential bookings, corporate and social events and occasional filming in our historic and unique surroundings.
We are seeking professional candidates who understand the importance of providing an exemplary service and have a passion for the hospitality industry. You must be extremely organised with a good approach to problem solving, and the ability to prioritise a busy workload. Exceptional communication and customer service skills are essential. Experience of using a hospitality database would be advantageous.
We require support from May to mid-September. The hours required fluctuate depending upon our schedule however during June and July are likely to be 36 hours per week. Some evening and weekend work will be required. You will be paid the London Living Wage which is currently £10.20 per hour.
